Dietrich won the USL Jägermeister Cup with Coach Éamon Zayed in 2024
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Jan. 26, 2026) – Corpus Christi FC has signed German midfielder Jackson Dietrich ahead of the Sharks’ first professional season in 2026, pending league and federation approval.
Dietrich is a box-to-box midfielder with over 100 professional appearances. Dietrich previously played for Forward Madison FC (2025), Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC (2022-2024) and Chattanooga Red Wolves SC (2021). Dietrich now reconnects with Head Coach Éamon Zayed after playing for him in Northern Colorado. Jackson captained the team that captured the 2024 USL Jägermeister Cup.
Dietrich reached the semifinals of the USL League One Playoffs with the Red Wolves and the Hailstorm in 2022, 2023 respectively.
“I’m extremely excited for the opportunity to play for CCFC, meet the community and reconnect with Éamon,” Dietrich said. “We have had great memories and success in previous years working together and I look forward to continuing that this year!”
Born in Bremen, Germany, Dietrich moved to Las Vegas where he attended the Las Vegas Sports Academy. He led the soccer team to four straight state championship appearances and was named Gatorade Player of the Year in Nevada his senior year.
Jackson would go on to play collegiately at Wright State University for four years where he was named Freshman of the Year (2015) in the Horizon league, named captain his final two seasons, and led his team to the first conference tournament title in 2019.
“Jackson is a player I know very, very well. He has a lot of experience in USL League One having played with Chattanooga Red Wolves, Madison and Northern Colorado,” Coach Zayed said. “He was ever present in midfield under me at Hailstorm and was a big part of the success we had there. I trust him wholeheartedly. He’s a warrior on the pitch and wants to win every practice and every game. He can play as a 6 or as an 8 and will add immense value to our midfield area.”
Dietrich spent time with two USL League Two clubs in the Dayton Dutch Lions and the Flint City Bucks.
