CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Jan. 20, 2025) – Corpus Christi FC is proud to announce the signing of Patrick “Paddy” Langlois as the club’s first professional player, pending league and federation approval.
Langlois reunites with Head Coach Éamon Zayed, having played for him in 2024 at Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC as a midfielder. In their lone season together, they finished second in the regular season and were crowned USL Jägermeister Cup Champions.
“I’m very excited to sign for Corpus Christi FC, it’s a huge honor to be a part of the first season for the club in the league,” Langlois said.
“I can’t wait to get started with the club, having played for Éamon before (and) I’m looking forward to the style of soccer we will play this year. I want to contribute on and off the field to produce the best results possible for the club and the community.”
Langlois comes to South Texas after playing for Portland Hearts of Pine in their inaugural season. He scored the club’s first goal in USL League One play.
He made his pro debut at the age of 19 in Australia’s top-flight, A-League for the Newcastle Jets. After two seasons he moved over to Melbourne to play with Hume City FC for the 2021 season. He then joined South Melbourne FC for two seasons where he really started to excel offensively. It led to his jump to the United States the following season.
Paddy was born in San Diego, CA , but grew up in Newcastle, Australia where his parents, younger brother and sister still reside. While home, Paddy enjoys the ocean and swims a kilometer with his parents every morning. He is a coffee enthusiast and enjoys finding new cafés when he visits new places.
